about evan mosaics

evan mosaics offers over 25 years of experience in custom mosaic design development, material sourcing, fabrication, and installation.

From concept through completion we combine our artistic vision with careful consideration of a client’s needs and ideas, working closely together every step of the way.

With over 25 years experience in multidisciplinary studio arts, with a concentration in architectural mosaics, we have learned to listen to our clients intently, and then confidently execute their concepts and designs into stunning mosaics.

Each mosaic is carefully planned out, and then hand cut by our expert artisans, who are able to add a level of artistry not possible by machines and computer programs that only design and cut in a grid.

We have developed numerous sources for materials, and specialize in mixed media mosaics, from marble, granite, ceramic, Byzantine and Venetian glass, metal, wood, semi precious stones, and more. We are able to package, deliver and install our custom mosaics almost anywhere in the world that you need them.

For  truly inspired and one of a kind works of art, evan mosaics is a leading resource for hospitality designers, architects, major corporations, and residential clients.

As durable as it is beautiful, mosaic art has been featured on walls, ceilings, and floors for over 5000 years. In ancient Greece, water-worn pebbles with subbtle color variations were used in decorative floor mosaics; by the third century B.C., small pieces of cut stone and glass, known as tessarae, came into use, their smooth surfaces allowing for intricate detail in representational works. For centuries since, mosaics have been featured in diverse public structures, from St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome to the Paris Opera.

In contemporary times, mosaics have been incorporated into even more settings, from the entry halls of private homes, to the interiors of fine restaurants, and public installations and murals.

Full of vibrant color and light-catching texture, they distinguish and elevate any environment.

evan mosaics draws on this incredibly rich history, to provide one of a kind, site specific mosaics in any material.
